These Terms govern your use of the Arcandel website (arcandel.com), operated by Arcandel, LLC. By using the site you accept these Terms. The Aerye mobile app is governed by its own Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance & Scope
These Terms apply to the Arcandel website at arcandel.com. By accessing or using the site you accept them. Our products carry their own terms — the Aerye mobile app is governed by the Aerye Terms of Service. Where these Terms and a product’s terms overlap, the product’s terms control for that product.
2. The Site
Arcandel is a cybersecurity-awareness company. This site presents our company and products, hosts free educational content — including lessons and demonstrations — and offers a waitlist for upcoming releases. The site requires no account and is free to use.
3. Awareness, Not Advice
Everything on this site — articles, lessons, demonstrations, and product descriptions — is provided for situational awareness and education only. It is not professional security advice, and you should not rely on it as the sole basis for operational security decisions. Consult credentialed sources (vendor advisories, CISA, your security team) before acting. Educational scenarios and demonstrations use fictional data; you agree not to use techniques learned here against systems you do not own or lack explicit authorization to test. Unauthorized access to computer systems is illegal in most jurisdictions.
4. The Waitlist
Joining a waitlist asks for one thing — an email address — and promises one thing: that we will contact you about the product’s launch and early access. It creates no account, costs nothing, guarantees no particular access date or outcome, and can be undone at any time by emailing privacy@arcandel.com. How the address is stored is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
The Arcandel and Aerye names, marks, design systems, original artwork, films, educational content, and software on this site are owned by Arcandel, LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share links to the site freely; you may not republish, scrape at scale, or misrepresent its content as your own. Third-party materials that appear on the site remain the property of their respective owners and are credited where applicable.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: abuse, overload, probe, or attempt to breach the site or its backend; submit false or automated waitlist entries; interfere with other visitors’ use of the site; or use the site for unlawful purposes.
7. Responsible Disclosure
If you find a security issue in the site itself, we welcome responsible disclosure — see the Security page or write to security@arcandel.com. Good-faith research conducted without harming the site, its data, or its visitors will not be met with legal action by us.
8. Third-Party Content & Links
Statistics and figures shown on the site are drawn from cited public sources (for example the Verizon DBIR, FBI IC3, and FTC reports) and presented in good faith as published; they remain the work of their authors. Links to external sites are provided for convenience — we do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARCANDEL’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY US DOLLARS. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING SECURITY INCIDENTS YOU EXPERIENCE REGARDLESS OF INFORMATION PRESENTED OR NOT PRESENTED ON THE SITE.
11. Termination
You may stop using the site at any time. We may restrict access to the site or remove waitlist entries that violate these Terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms; changes take effect when posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, except either party may seek relief in small-claims court.
